Barbara Howard’s designs for the Gauntlet Press in its electronic phase were more various than they had been in the letterpress era. The design work was still Howard’s, but she began to incorporate images designed, retrieved or collected by other designers of electronic fonts, which she found, modified, coloured, and put into proportional patterns.
